TinaMarie Holland: Talent Agent, former Professional Dancer, Actress
TinaMarie started her career in NYC, growing up just 30 miles outside Manhattan. Fortunate enough to study with NYC's finest instructors and choreographers at Broadway Dance Center, Julliard, Steps and Dance Circle, TM has experienced what most young dancers dream about all their lives: perfomance opportunities AND owning a dance studio. The 20 year studio produced several talented dancers, actors, singers and entertainers. Her performance opportunities included countless appearances on commercials, television, cat walks, tours, industrials and Broadway. She expanded her horizon with choreographing for MTV and Saturday Night Live, always networking and creating new opportunities for herself and her dancers. TM created a talent management company that represented dancers, actors, models, bands, singers and choreographers. She started working with NYC and LA agents, she had gained their respect from being one of their talent to now being a top manager that supplied them with their talent. Spotting talent, cultivating and educating it, is what TM enjoys the most. She has been beneficial in many careers for dancers on Broadway, film, television and as recording artists. TM has also worked with several of the top competitions and conventions from 1985 to the present, either judging, coordinating, promoting or scouting. After watching the others in action, she has decided what's missing, or perhaps overlooked at a convention or competition, that helps take the dancer to the next level, AND has the power to make "it" happen for the dancers! So NY-LA-NASH Entertainment and Dancers ROCK are striving to create one of the best conventions and competitions for dancers worldwide.
At 7 years old, a second grader, Garrett Steele entered this crazy world we call Show Business. He sang for the first time in front of a live audience and was hooked. Throughout the years, he held strong to his heart and belief that his calling was Music and Entertainment. Either sharing the stage with Dolly Parton, Wynona Judd and Steve Wariner, or in a production of Neil Simon's Fools or playing Scrooge in Nashville's longest running production of A Christamas Carol, Garrett is at home on the stage. After several curves and bumps in the road, things we at NY-LA-NASH call "life's journey"- Garrett has rooted himself at NY-LA-NASH, bringing his knowledge and expertise of Voice, Theatre, Sales, Marketing and Advertising with him. What he brings to every negotiating table is extensive skills and tactics gained from working successfully with CEO's, Heads of Marketing, Human Resource Departments, Attorneys and Fortune 500 companies. His knowledge of contracts, proposals, representing and protecting clients, and his understanding of one's passion for performing, are all assets that make NY-LA-NASH tops in the Entertainment Industry. His ability to recognize and nurture new talent, combined with his Sales and Advertising background, are just a few of the many reasons Garrett is a NY-LA-NASH partner. And Dancers ROCK is a chance to see new talent, educate, train and inform dancers about the industry they so long to be a part of...Garrett, NY-LA-NASH and Dancers ROCK is just a great combination! Garrett is currently in the recording studio with legendary performer and producer, Teddy Gentry, from the supergroup Alabama. William Garramone, Sales, Marketing, Musician and Stage Manager
William entered the fantastic world of showbiz at the age of 15, playing drums professionally with a group of men 15-20 years his senior. Classically trained in playing percussion / drums from the age of 12 until graduating, he went on to teach a local high school drum line while attending his first year of college in Louisiana. The two high-points of his younger years include marching in The Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California in 1985, and winning the state championship drumline competition in Arlington, Texas that same year. After moving to Nashville in 1987, he earned his license to sell health and life insurance, simultaneously growing his contacts in the Music City. While cutting his teeth in the world of sales in the insurance business, he expanded his musical horizons even more by taking and giving drum lessons on the side. Eventually, he took an interest in the production side of the entertainment business. More of a hands on or in the trenches person, he employed himself with Crewmasters in order to learn more of the in's and out's of stage management. He has since been on the set up and tear down of many shows including: Barbara Mandrell, Vince Gill, Metallica, Kiss, Rush, Barry Manilow, and several expos at the Ryman under Opryland Hotel (He wants us to know that his days of kicking carpet are officially over lol). Later, he applied his knowledge of drums for a drumtech position on Michael W. Smith's Go West Young Man tour in 1990, for drummer Chris McHugh. A few weeks into the rehearsals, percussionist Charles Barnett joined the tour, and the responsibility for the entire setup of the stage was laid upon himself and one other person. The simultaneous responsibility of taking care of a drummer, one percussionist and the stage for the entire 6 months was the proving ground and endurance test for a taste of what an entertainment touring schedule was going to be like. Moving forward, he rediscovered his desire for playing drums and was in several bands including Majestic (now the Sharie Bardo Explosion), O.Z. Willis (opening for Hank III, and The Electric Hellfire Club), and most recently, Ugly Machine (opening one show for the Earshot / Saliva tour). The opportunity to work with Dancers Rock on both the business side and performance end is both new and exciting. Working for President TinaMarie Holland, who at a glance has high expectations of her staff, will make things that much more rewarding when those house lights go down. Now where's my blasted mag-light!!!
Merrida, originally from Lubbock, TX, now resides in Nashville, TN. She wears many hats for Dancers ROCK! You can find her at the Rock Shop in each city...she's great with the dancers, their sizes and has an eye for the hot, hip, dance fashions dancers all across the country seek. You'll also see her down at the judges table during competition, calculating scores. And don't miss her Ballroom class...we added it to several DR cities for the 2008-2009 season...dancers love it! She is a true gem to have on staff/faculty...
